I had a great day with a great conversationalist yesterday. It was full of good ol' fashion fun and deep thoughts. We partook in cognitive sparring while enjoying a beautiful fall day here in Iowa. Here are some of the questions that arose during the day:
- If money or other obligations were no object, what would you do with your time and energy?
- How do you want to be remembered? What are you doing now to achieve that end?
- What do you want to learn (again if time and money were no object)?
We engaged one another in conversation as we considered Paul Newman's life. He was a humble man with an extraordinary heart - loving husband, family man, powerful philanthropist. What is the legacy you will leave this world?
Spend some time pondering these questions. The answers may surprise you and lead you in another direction than the path you are on. I would love to hear responses to these penetrating questions. Please share!

I love a great brain barb - and this is a brouhaha of self-awareness.
For me, the answers to your query:
- I would do something with inner city kids, possibly startup a company in marketing ($$ is no object) with a section of office space designed for kids to "hang after school" with the team of marketing/design pros. At 3pm, the team (while still getting paid) would work with kids. They would learn from each other.
- The legacy I would like to leave is to teach others how to leave their own legacy. (anyone want to blog?)
- I want to learn how to play the piano. I can be creatively soft, but also take out my agression with some 8-to-the-bar beats
Thanks for the stretch!
