It has been advised from very wise counsel just how I can get all of my feelings, impressions, and revelations from my Uganda trip out of me.
This is what I will do for myself and those wonderful supportive family and friends who are asking me about my trip. I have been swirling around too much stimuli about my trip to really articulate anything substantial that will explain it.
So this is what I propose. I will share small bits of visual imagery to tell my story one heart-filling or heart-breaking moment at a time. I must warn you though - some of the emotions that will rise up may be too much to contain. It may just change you. If so, that my memories can make a difference. That is my goal.
Here we go - First memory (don't worry, we will start with an easy one)
Location: Caring Heart School, Southern Uganda
The Setup: We are visiting classrooms meeting the students and engaging them for 10 minutes or so in each classroom.
The Moment in time: I took this picture just as I was leaving the classroom. They were laughing and wanting us to come back in.
The Revelation: This image is extremely symbolic for part of my purpose to be in Africa in the first place. To me, these eager, joyful boys are trapped behind the walls of a inadequate education which will inevitable keep them in the bonds of poverty. Now when I look at this picture, all I want to do is go back and release them from their iron walls.

I can't wait to read more of your stories and let you envelop our hearts and souls as you introduce us to the children you met.
Keep the stories coming!

Drew,
I'm not sure you are aware of what you are asking. I have over 450 pictures with a distinct memory for each one. Thanks for all of your support. Be ready for some amazing kids to enter your world through my memories.
